Gainesville Jewelry was started in 1977 by Phil Forrester with just a 600-square-foot store and one counter. He borrowed $8,500 from his dad to begin the jewelry business from scratch. Now, 43 years later, Gainesville Jewelry has grown into a successful 7,000-square-foot store.

Phil built his business on values his father taught him: treat everyone who walks through the door like family, offer the best quality, and always be honest. We chose not to use a commission system because Phil noticed that sales associates would often try to sell the most expensive jewelry for bigger commissions.

Our goal has always been to find the most beautiful and fitting piece for each customer, whether it's for their neck, finger, wrist, or anywhere else—no matter the price. We believe in bringing out the best in our customers, because at Gainesville Jewelry, we create fairy tale endings!

Some of our associates have been with us for over 20 years, and our in-house Master Jeweler has more than 35 years of experience, from changing watch batteries to creating stunning custom diamond pieces. We also have a GIA-trained appraiser who offers jewelry appraisals as well.
